It’s easy. Utilizing a passive temperature sensor built into the 3.5mm TRRS audio jack connector and a magical mathematical formula via the free app, the temperature measurement is done automatically to pinpoint temperature reading of the environment around you.
What Do I Need to Do?
1. Remove the SMARThermo from the key ring holder.
2. Plug the sensor into the 3.5mm audio socket of your iPhone or iPad.
3. Launch the SMARThermo app to measure the temperature.
After measuring the temperature of your location, you can share it among your social network friends.
How Does it Work?
• Your smartphone is a heat source and typically emits 68 – 86°F of heat affecting accuracy at lower temperatures.
• Holding SMARThermo in your hands or pocket will also transfer excess heat which causes higher temperature readings.
How Do I Minimize Heat Pollution when Measuring the Temperature?
• Leave SMARThermo in the environment you want to measure for a minute and plug into your iPhone/iPad quickly to minimize handling.
• Use a four-conductor audio extension cable to further isolate excess heat.
Does SMARThermo Work with a Case?
• SMARThermo will work with certain cases but not all. If its not compatible with your iPhone/iPad with case, you can use a four-conductor audio extension cable with your SMARThermo.
