To save battery power,the bicycle pedometer will automatically switch off if the unit is left idel for 5 minutes.
Display will reappear with a press on any of the buttons
Back up battery
In case you use the bicycle pedometer in areas where sunlight/light is insufficient for solar power,the pedometer has a built in back up battery for this.
Note
The Back up battery is NOT RECHARGEABLE.It needs to be replace when the LCD brightness is dull.
Battery:Uses AG-10 X 1 pc for back up.
Battery Replacement
When riding in the dark and LCD display is dim,it is time to replace the bicycle pedometer with fresh battery.
Remove the screws and back cover from the bicycle pedometer.
Locate battery position.
Use small screw driver and pry out the AG-10 battery
Replace with fresh battery
Secure back case with screws
